TL;DR

Salebot integration: enter a project API key with read access to clients and CRM once on the integrations page, choose the bots in a project, and new subscribers, conversations, deals and client sources reach the client as a link or PDF on schedule.

A chatbot report for clients

Salebot is a chatbot builder with a built-in CRM. Businesses use it to build bots for Telegram, VK and other messengers, sell through them, and let managers answer customers in a shared inbox. There is plenty of data inside, but it is shaped for operators rather than reports. The client wants three answers: how many people came into the bots, how the conversations went and how they ended.

Reportkey connects to the Salebot API and builds a section of a recurring report from the project data, sent as a link or PDF on schedule next to ads and site analytics.

Connecting Salebot: project API key

Create the key in Salebot project settings under Integrations, Add API key, and tick two permissions: reading client information and reading CRM information. With those rights the key only reads; Reportkey cannot send a message or change a deal or variable. Enter the key once on the integrations page and choose which bots the project report should include.

New bot subscribers

The first block covers audience inflow. Every Salebot client has a creation date, a messenger and the bot that brought them in. From that Reportkey builds:

  • new subscribers for the period by day, week or month;
  • total subscribers at period end;
  • a messenger split, showing where the bot gathers more people;
  • a bot split when the project has several bots.

Salebot returns clients in batches of up to 500, so a large base loads in several steps without affecting the report.

Conversations and manager work

The second block describes messaging. Message history shows how many messages were exchanged in the period, how many were not delivered and why, and how many replies each manager sent. Where sales happen in chat, that measures team workload and service quality. Undelivered messages suggest checking whether users blocked the bot or a broadcast failed.

Deals in the Salebot CRM

The third block is the outcome. The built-in CRM sorts deals into active, won and lost. The report shows the count in each status and a messenger split, and adds amounts when the bot scenario writes them into deal variables. Salebot keeps the current status, not a log of transitions, so the report shows the funnel as of the build date.

Client sources: tags and UTM

The fourth block shows where people come from, using client tags and variables the bot saves, most often UTM tags from the entry link. With tags in place, the report shows new clients and won deals per source, and next to ad spend that gives a clear cost per client.

Salebot next to ads and the website

A chatbot usually ends an ad funnel. Add VK Ads and Yandex Direct campaigns that lead into the bot, VK community statistics and site visits from Yandex Metrica. For VK mailings, use the Senler report. See all social media integrations. AI insights and branding are not on every plan. Browse the SMM agency demo report and pricing.

Use cases

Why teams connect Salebot to Reportkey

Real reporting jobs, typical pain points, and the outcomes teams get from Salebot in client reports.

Pain points
  • The owner asks how many people joined the bot this month, and the specialist assembles the answer messenger by messenger.
  • Ads send people into a bot on Telegram and VK, but nobody shows how spend connects to deals in the Salebot CRM.
  • Manager performance in chats is judged by impression because there is no summary of replies and undelivered messages.
Salebot
An agency driving traffic into a chatbot

VK Ads and Yandex Direct campaigns lead people into the bot. The report places campaign spend next to new bot subscribers by messenger and won deals in the Salebot CRM for the same period.

Salebot
An online school selling through messengers

The school sells courses through bots on several messengers. The deals block shows how many leads are in progress, paid or lost, and the messenger split shows where the funnel works best.

Salebot
A service business with managers in chat

Managers answer customers through Salebot. The conversation block shows messages per day, replies by each manager and undelivered messages, so the team lead sees workload without exporting history by hand.

How to connect

Three steps to the first report

Connect the account once, choose the reporting scope, and save the setup for recurring client reports.

01
Connect the account
Save the Salebot connection once so the same datasource can be reused across recurring client reports.
02
Choose the reporting scope
Choose the Salebot channel, community, or bot that should supply audience and engagement data to the report.
03
Save the setup and generate the report
Keep the selected scope in the project and reuse the same report setup next time instead of connecting the source again.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how the integration works in Reportkey today.

What do I need to connect Salebot?
A Salebot project API key. Create it in project settings under Integrations, Add API key, with the permissions to read client information and read CRM information. Such a key can only read and cannot change anything. Enter it once on the Reportkey integrations page.
Does the report show a deal's history by stage?
No. Salebot returns deals by current status: active, won and lost. Stage transitions are not stored in the response, so the report shows deal status as of the build date rather than each deal's path through the funnel.
Will deal amounts be included?
Only if the bot records them. Salebot returns a list of deals by status, and the amount lives in deal variables when the bot scenario saves it there. Otherwise the report counts deals.
Where do client sources come from?
From client tags and variables the bot saves, such as UTM tags from the entry link. If the scenario does not store tags, the source breakdown will be incomplete, so check the setup before the first report.
How fresh is the data and how are new subscribers counted?
Data is read at every report build. A new subscriber is a client whose Salebot creation date falls inside the reporting period. Deals reflect status at build time, so rebuilding last month's report may show a different split between active and closed deals.
