Mailganer campaign and trigger email report
Reportkey pulls Mailganer statistics for bulk campaigns and trigger emails with a daily breakdown, so one client report shows what one-off campaigns delivered, what automated flows did and how activity moved day by day.
- Bulk campaigns and triggers in separate blocks.
- Sends, opens and clicks broken down by day.
- Subject, segment and send date in the campaign table.

Mailganer integration: add the API key from account settings to Reportkey once, choose the account and period in a project, and the client gets daily activity, a campaign table with subject and segment, and a separate trigger email block on schedule.
Mailganer report for clients
For a store or an online school, one-off campaigns are only the visible part of email. Much of the volume is automatic: a welcome after signup, a cart reminder, a pre-launch series. Automation rarely reaches client reports because its dashboard statistics must be collected trigger by trigger. Reportkey reads the Mailganer API and shows both sides together, bulk campaigns and triggers, totals and daily activity, in one document sent as a link or PDF.
Connecting Mailganer
The API key is in Mailganer account settings. Add it on the Reportkey integrations page and it becomes available in every project. In project settings choose the account, period and blocks: daily activity, campaign table, trigger emails. Reportkey uses the key read-only and never launches campaigns, edits templates or changes segments. An agency keeps one connection per client account and matches the schedule to its meeting rhythm.
Mailganer campaign statistics
The Mailganer campaign list returns name, subject line, send start time, status and target segment for each campaign, plus counters for sent, delivered, opens, clicks, spam and unsubscribes. With subject and segment in the same row as the numbers, the client sees a specific winter sale email to buyers from the last six months rather than an anonymous campaign number.
Trigger email statistics
For each trigger Mailganer reports sent, delivered, opened and clicked emails, unavailable addresses, unsubscribes and complaints, as a total and per day. Reportkey puts triggers in a dedicated block, showing how much automation sent this month, which flow earns more clicks, and whether unavailable addresses are creeping up in the welcome series, where fresh and sometimes mistyped signups land. Each trigger is fetched separately and combined into one summary.
Daily email activity
The daily breakdown is what sets Mailganer data apart. For a bulk campaign it shows how opens spread after the send: most in the first day, then a tail over several days, which supports decisions on resending to non-openers and the best weekday. For triggers the daily chart shows stability: a sudden drop in abandoned cart sends usually means site events stopped arriving, not that shoppers stopped abandoning carts.
Mailganer data caveats
Daily figures need both period dates; without them the API returns only a total, so a month in the report may differ from the dashboard total for a campaign sent across a month boundary. The documentation does not state whether daily opens and clicks are unique, has no separate bounce field for bulk campaigns, and does not describe the time zone of dates, so events near midnight may land on the neighbouring day.

Why teams connect Mailganer to Reportkey
Real reporting jobs, typical pain points, and the outcomes teams get from Mailganer in client reports.
- The abandoned cart email runs every day, yet client reports only include the big one-off campaigns.
- The dashboard shows a campaign total, but the client asks on which days after the send people clicked and whether a reminder is worth it.
- The segment a campaign went to has to be confirmed with the account manager, and without it the numbers cannot be compared.
Welcome series, abandoned cart, repeat purchase reminder: all of these are Mailganer triggers. Each gets its own row with daily sends, deliveries and clicks, so the client sees automation next to promotional campaigns.
Before a cohort starts, announcements go to different list segments. The daily chart shows activity building toward launch day and when, after each email, people visit the course page.
The same subject line goes to two segments. Subject, segment and send date sit in one table row, so the old versus new subscribers comparison needs no extra commentary.
How Mailganer appears inside the report
The report keeps the familiar Reportkey layout: source sections and period comparison.

A line chart of daily opens and clicks with campaign send dates marked. Below, a campaign table with subject, segment and send date, followed by a trigger table with sends, deliveries, clicks and unsubscribes.
