Novofon call report: lost calls, waiting time and campaigns

Reportkey pulls the Novofon calls report through the Data API and builds a client section from it: answered and lost calls, wait before an answer, talk time per employee and, when call tracking is enabled in Novofon, calls by campaign and UTM tags.

Sign up, enable a PBX user API key, allow the Reportkey IP and pick the account in a project. Your first report in 5 minutes.
  • The Novofon API key is entered once and selectable in any project.
  • Answered and lost calls, waiting time and talk time per employee.
  • Calls by campaign and tag next to Yandex Direct and Metrica, plus AI insights and branding (not on every plan).

TL;DR

Novofon integration: enable an API key for a PBX user and allow the Reportkey IP in Novofon, enter the key once on the integrations page, and calls, lost calls, waiting time, employees, tags and campaigns arrive in a scheduled report.

Novofon call report for agencies and businesses

Novofon combines a virtual PBX with analytics tools, so a call can carry more than a number and an employee: a campaign, UTM tags, manager tags and a lost-call flag. All of that is visible in the dashboard, but an agency client needs a short weekly or monthly document rather than PBX access. Reportkey reads the calls report through the Novofon Data API and turns it into a section of a recurring report next to ads and the website.

Connecting Novofon: API key and IP allowlist

Two settings are made in the client’s Novofon account. The first is an API key, enabled for a PBX user with admin rights on the API tab of the PBX users section. The second is the allowlist: the Reportkey IP must be added in the API security settings, otherwise Novofon rejects requests even with a correct key. The address is shown in the connection form.

The key is entered once on the Reportkey integrations page and then chosen in projects. If the key is disabled or the address is removed from the allowlist, the connection is flagged for re-authorization while the project keeps its blocks and schedule.

Lost Novofon calls and waiting time

The main block is built on call sessions. A session is one caller’s call end to end, including all forwarding, so transfers between employees do not inflate totals. For each session Novofon returns direction, the lost flag, waiting time, talk time and total duration. The report shows:

  • Calls for the period inbound and outbound by day, week or month.
  • Lost calls as a count and as a share of inbound.
  • Average waiting time before the caller reached an employee.
  • Talk duration excluding the wait.

Rising waiting time often comes before rising losses, so the two lines are worth reading together.

Calls per employee

Each session lists the employees involved and marks who answered. The employee table shows answered calls and talk minutes for the period, so a manager sees who carries the inbound flow and whose conversations run unusually short or long.

Calls by campaign, UTM tags and number

With call tracking or analytics enabled in Novofon, calls include the campaign name, UTM source and medium, the website domain and the virtual number. The report then splits calls and losses by campaign and source, ready to sit next to Yandex Direct spend. Without number substitution these fields are empty, and the report groups calls by number instead of inventing channels.

Manager tags in the report

Tags that managers add in Novofon also reach the report. A tag breakdown separates real inquiries from spam, service calls and wrong numbers, an important correction when a hundred inbound calls include thirty repeat service requests.

Data API limits

One request covers up to 90 days, and daily and per-minute limits are set per account, so long history loads in windows. Carrier records count legs while the report counts sessions. Ad data depends on call tracking inside Novofon.

A typical order is Yandex Direct, website goals in Yandex Metrica, then Novofon calls. Agencies with clients on other platforms can also use UIS call tracking, CoMagic calls and the Zadarma PBX. Use cases

Why teams connect Novofon to Reportkey

Real reporting jobs, typical pain points, and the outcomes teams get from Novofon in client reports.

Pain points
  • Novofon labels calls with tags and campaigns, yet the agency client never opens that dashboard and only sees a single total in an email.
  • Lost calls are counted by hand: export the report, filter by the lost flag and recompute the share again every month.
  • The sales team has no baseline for answer speed because nobody tracks average waiting time until a client complains.
Novofon
An agency using Novofon call tracking

Campaign numbers are configured in Novofon itself, so calls carry a campaign name and UTM tags. The report shows calls and lost calls per campaign next to Yandex Direct spend, and the client sees which ads produce calls.

Novofon
A company that tags its calls

Managers tag calls as order, service or spam. The report groups calls by tag, so leadership can tell genuine inquiries from mistaken or internal calls.

Novofon
A head of sales

A weekly summary arrives with lost calls, average waiting time and the calls and minutes handled by each employee. Weak spots show up before a client points them out.

How Novofon appears inside the report

The report keeps the familiar Reportkey layout: source sections and period comparison.

How to connect

Three steps to the first report

Connect the account once, choose the reporting scope, and save the setup for recurring client reports.

01
Connect the account
Save the Novofon connection once so the same datasource can be reused across recurring client reports.
02
Choose the reporting scope
Choose the Novofon account and phone numbers that should supply calls and call sources to the report.
03
Save the setup and generate the report
Keep the selected scope in the project and reuse the same report setup next time instead of connecting the source again.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how the integration works in Reportkey today.

What do I need to connect Novofon to Reportkey?
An API key for a PBX user with admin rights and the Reportkey IP address on the allowlist. The key is enabled under Telephony, PBX users, on the API tab, and the IP is added in the account API security settings. Without the allowed address Novofon rejects requests even with a valid key.
Why do calls have no campaign or UTM tags?
Campaign, source and medium are filled in only when call tracking or analytics is enabled in Novofon. Plain telephony without number substitution leaves these fields empty, and the report shows calls, losses and employees without an ad breakdown.
Will call counts match the carrier detail records?
Not always. The report is based on call sessions: one session is one caller's call even if it was forwarded several times. Carrier detail records list every leg separately, so they contain more rows.
How fresh is the data and how much history can be loaded?
The calls report is requested each time a report is built. A single Data API request covers up to 90 days, so long history is loaded in several windows. Daily and per-minute limits depend on the account, and Reportkey spreads requests to stay within them.
What counts as a lost call?
Novofon sets the lost flag itself for a call that never connected to an employee. Reportkey uses that flag as is, so the lost share in the report follows the same logic as the Novofon dashboard.
