TL;DR

CloudPayments integration: the Public ID and API password from the merchant dashboard are entered once, the terminal is picked in a project, and successful payments, declines with reasons, refunds and the card split arrive in a scheduled report.

CloudPayments payments report for your client

CloudPayments is a payment service used by online schools, subscription products, charities and online stores to accept cards, SBP and e-wallets. For a marketer it is the most reliable point in the funnel: it shows how many visitors did not just press Pay but actually paid.

Reportkey exports transactions through the CloudPayments API and builds blocks of a recurring report from them, placed next to ad spend and website analytics and delivered on schedule as a link or PDF.

CloudPayments analytics: successful payments

A CloudPayments transaction moves through several states. Authorized means the amount is held on the card but not charged. Completed means the money was charged. Cancelled means the authorisation was voided, and Declined means the bank or fraud screening rejected the operation. The receipts block uses completed transactions only:

  • Successful payments — count per day, week or month.
  • Payment amount — turnover from completed transactions.
  • Average payment — amount per payment.
  • Previous-period comparison for each line.

Test transactions are dropped automatically, so checking the payment form before a launch does not spoil the statistics.

CloudPayments declines and their reasons

What sets this block apart from a regular sales summary is declined payments. Every Declined transaction carries a reason: insufficient funds, limit exceeded, expired card, issuer decline or failed 3-D Secure authentication. The block shows the count and amount of declined payments, the decline share of all attempts and a split by reason and card type.

For an online school during a launch, this table literally shows lost money. A rise in 3-D Secure failures points to terminal settings; a rise in insufficient funds suggests offering instalments.

Refunds and net receipts

A transaction with a refund is flagged in the export. The refunds block shows refunded payments, their amount and net receipts, meaning successful payments minus returned money, the number worth discussing with clients who offer money-back guarantees or trials.

CloudPayments transaction export: cards and currencies

Each transaction stores card type and currency. The card type table shows which card networks buyers use and how turnover splits. Multi-currency terminals are shown per currency rather than summed.

Time zone matters too. CloudPayments returns times in UTC by default, so in a manual export late-night Moscow payments fall into the previous day. Reportkey requests transactions in the project time zone, keeping day boundaries familiar to the client.

CloudPayments data caveats

  • A payment is a money result, not an ad conversion; linking it to a campaign requires the invoice or payer ID in a CRM or end-to-end analytics.
  • Authorised but unconfirmed payments are not receipts.
  • The API password grants full terminal access and should be stored as a high-level secret.

CloudPayments next to ads and analytics

Add Yandex Direct campaigns, VK Ads and payment goals in Yandex Metrica or Google Analytics 4. To link payments to ads, use Roistat; if some payments go through a second provider, add the YooKassa payments block. Report branding, scheduled sending and AI insights are not on every plan. A finished document is shown in the demo report, other payment providers and stores are on the ecommerce and online payments integrations page, and the free 14 days are described on pricing.

Use cases

Why teams connect CloudPayments to Reportkey

Real reporting jobs, typical pain points, and the outcomes teams get from CloudPayments in client reports.

Pain points
  • Ads bring buyers to the payment page, some of them get a bank decline, and nobody knows how much money is lost that way.
  • The CloudPayments dashboard exports transactions one day at a time, so a monthly summary is stitched from a dozen files.
  • Transaction times in the export do not match local time, and payments around midnight land on the wrong day.
CloudPayments
Online school running course launches

Payment load peaks during a launch. The weekly report shows successful payments, the decline share and the top decline reasons, so a sudden jump for one card type is spotted in the report rather than in support chat.

CloudPayments
Subscription service

Recurring charges run through CloudPayments. The declines block shows how many renewals failed because of insufficient funds or an expired card, ready material for reminder emails.

CloudPayments
Agency that reports in money

The client takes payments on the website. Next to Yandex Direct and VK Ads spend, the agency report shows receipts and the average payment, while campaign links come from end-to-end analytics via the invoice number.

How to connect

Three steps to the first report

Connect the account once, choose the reporting scope, and save the setup for recurring client reports.

01
Connect the account
Save the CloudPayments connection once so the same datasource can be reused across recurring client reports.
02
Choose the reporting scope
Choose the CloudPayments store or site that should supply orders, payments, or leads to the report.
03
Save the setup and generate the report
Keep the selected scope in the project and reuse the same report setup next time instead of connecting the source again.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how the integration works in Reportkey today.

What do I need to connect CloudPayments?
The site's Public ID and the API password (API Secret) from the CloudPayments merchant dashboard, in site settings. You enter the pair once on the Reportkey integrations page and can then select the terminal in any project.
Why does the API password need extra care?
CloudPayments has no read-only key: the API password also allows payment operations. Reportkey uses it only to export the transaction list. If you change contractors or suspect a leak, change the password in the dashboard and update it on the integrations page.
Which payments count as receipts?
Only transactions in the Completed status. Authorized payments are only held on the card without a charge, so they are excluded, and cancelled and declined ones are shown separately. Test operations are dropped.
Why can the daily payment count differ from the dashboard?
CloudPayments returns transaction times in UTC by default. Reportkey requests them in the project time zone, so a payment at 01:00 Moscow time lands on the same day as in your accounting. If the dashboard uses a different time zone, day boundaries may shift.
How often is data refreshed?
Transactions are exported on every report build, a hundred records per page. CloudPayments allows up to 30 concurrent requests on a live terminal, and Reportkey loads pages sequentially, so the limit affects neither the report nor the store.
