Reportkey pulls leads, tour bookings and payments from U-ON.Travel and builds a report for the travel agency owner: where travellers came from, how many leads became bookings, why people refused and how much the agency earned above net cost.

TL;DR

U-ON.Travel integration: enable GET API in U-ON settings, copy the key and enter it once on the Reportkey integrations page. Leads, bookings, refusals, traveller payments and agency margin by source, office and manager reach the owner on schedule as a link or PDF.

Travel agency reporting on U-ON.Travel data

A travel agency sells an expensive, infrequent product. Weeks pass between the first question about a May beach holiday and a paid tour, and many leads end in refusal. Advertising is seasonal, and at peak time the owner needs to know which channel brings travellers who book rather than just ask. U-ON.Travel keeps the whole path: lead, booking with a price calculation, status, refusal reason and payments. Reportkey reads this through the API and turns it into a section of a recurring report.

Connecting U-ON.Travel with an API key

The key is created inside U-ON under Settings, Integrations, API. The report needs GET API enabled, which means read access with no right to create or edit bookings. The vendor advises binding the key to the service’s IP addresses, and Reportkey addresses go into that same setting.

You enter the key once on the integrations page, where it becomes a shared connection. An agency serving several tour companies adds one key per company and selects the right one in each project. If the key is reissued, the connection is flagged for re-authorisation and project settings stay intact.

Lead analytics by source for travel agencies

The first block answers the marketer’s question of where travellers come from. Leads are selected by creation date and bookings by creation or closing date. The U-ON booking card keeps the source and the full UTM set, so the block can group by the source list or by campaign:

  • Leads received in the period;
  • Bookings the manager started to build;
  • Lead-to-booking conversion;
  • Breakdowns by source, UTM campaign, manager, office and period.

When a website form does not pass a tag, the booking lands in a no-source row, a useful signal of how well data flows from the site.

Closed bookings and refusal reasons

The second block shows sales results. Closed bookings and refusals come from status, and U-ON stores a refusal reason from the agency’s own list. A monthly reason summary says more than any single booking: if half the refusals cite price, the problem is not the ads. Tour value for closed bookings sits alongside, split by office and destination.

Traveller payments, currency and rate

U-ON payments can be income or expense, from clients or to partners, in several currencies. Each one stores its rate, and the report converts with that rate. Traveller payments and tour operator payments appear separately.

Agency margin per booking

A booking calculation holds the client price and the net cost owed to the tour operator; the difference is agency margin. Its accuracy depends on managers filling in net cost, otherwise margin looks inflated. The report shows margin by period and source.

Travel agency CRM and ads in one document

U-ON data usually sits next to Yandex Direct campaigns, VK Ads, CoMagic or Calltouch calls and site traffic in Yandex Metrica. See the context agency demo report, other niche systems on the CRM integrations page, and the free trial on pricing.

Use cases

Why teams connect U-ON.Travel to Reportkey

Real reporting jobs, typical pain points, and the outcomes teams get from U-ON.Travel in client reports.

Pain points
  • In high season the agency spends more on ads, yet the owner cannot tell which channel brings booked tours and which brings only visa questions.
  • Managers close requests as refused and pick a reason, but nobody compiles the monthly reason summary.
  • Travellers pay in roubles, euros and dollars, and agency margin is worked out by hand for every booking at month end.
U-ON.Travel
Marketer at a chain of travel agencies

Each office appears as its own row. Every week the marketer gets leads and bookings by source and UTM campaign next to Yandex Direct and VK Ads spend and sees which office converts leads into bookings worse than the others.

U-ON.Travel
Owner of a small agency

The owner cares about the monthly result: bookings closed, tour value sold, money received from travellers and money paid to tour operators. The report shows margin as the difference between client price and net cost.

An agency promoting a tour company

The contractor reports U-ON bookings with source and tag instead of form leads. The client sees which campaign carried a traveller to a closed booking and plans next season's budget from that.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how the integration works in Reportkey today.

What do I need to connect U-ON.Travel?
An API key from U-ON under Settings, Integrations, API, with GET API enabled. U-ON recommends restricting the key to specific IP addresses; Reportkey addresses go into the same setting. You enter the key once on the integrations page and choose it in a project.
What is the difference between a lead and a booking?
A lead is the first contact: a call, a message, a website form. A booking is a tour the manager started to put together, with a price, services and status. The report counts them separately, and lead-to-booking conversion shows how the sales team performs.
Why is tour value higher than what travellers paid?
Tour value in a booking is what the traveller owes, not what the agency received. Travellers pay a deposit first and the balance closer to departure. Payments are counted separately from records marked as client income, so the two figures need not match within one month.
How are foreign currency payments handled?
Each U-ON payment stores its currency and exchange rate. Amounts are converted with the rate saved in the payment, not today's rate. Payments to partners and tour operators are kept apart from traveller payments.
Where do the source and UTM tags come from?
The website form fills them when it passes the lead to U-ON, or a manager enters them by hand. Empty values go to a separate no-source row, which shrinks as tag passing on the website gets cleaner.
How fresh is the data?
Bookings and payments are read for the selected date range when the report is built. U-ON allows up to 10 requests per second and returns data in pages, so a large archive loads sequentially and status changes appear in the next report.
